Tuesday After School for 3rd - 5th Grades - Fall 2025 Session One
This after school class for kids in grades 3-5 will focus on a different type of painting and brushwork each week. This will allow the kids to play with all kinds of mediums and paint/ink applications while discovering which ones best fit their artistic style.
All of these lessons will be linked to an artist from art history or contemporary art as part of the lessons.
This is a class for art-loving kids who like to experiment but who are capable of being disciplined about improving their artistic skills.
Week 1 - Acrylic Abstracts - Stanley Whitney
Week 2 - Gouache geometric - Sonia Delaunay
Week 3 - Watercolor & Nature Studies - Hilma af Klint
Week 4 - Airbrush - Laura Owens
Week 5 - Acrylic markers - Katherine Bernhardt
Week 6 - Suminagashi paper marbling - Naka-no-in Michimura
Week 7 - Mixed Media - Robert Rauschenberg
Week 8 - Finish up unfinished work
