This 8-week series is for people who just started painting or painters who have been at it for a while and want to strengthen some core painting skills.

Each week we will explore the work of a different artist from art history or contemporary art while we get better at making dynamic, beautifully-composed art with engaging palettes and meaningful content.

Some of the exercises and areas of focus will include:

• Understanding color relationships

• Tension & Balance in a composition

• Form and perspective with Cezanne

• Reflections and shadows

• Painting the colors of Natural elements

• And more!

Who should take this class: Anybody who has done a little painting and wants to strengthen the important & basic skills or anybody returning to painting after an absence.
