In this 5-day high school camp we will follow the exact painting program that we use with the adult painters. The result will be sophisticated artwork that will stand out in a college portfolio. For IB students, this is a wonderful opportunity for CAS hours as needed for IB or and a great way for IB arts students to get help completing their final portfolio.

In the camp there will be a focus how great artists made their art. And we will explore the color wheel and color theory, shape and form, color and shape relationships, perspective and scale, to understand who their great paintings were made. And while they elevate their skills, high school artists will be encouraged to create work that puts meaning and personal narrative into our art.

At the end of the camp we will have a critique just like they do in art schools and hang our work in an exhibit.

The camp will be fun and full of music, laughter and trips across the street to the park to get some fresh air.

If you do need to meet IB or college portfolio criteria, prior to the start of camp we can meet to agree on what projects we will focus on for the week.
