Wed. Morning 8-Week "A little bit or a lot of experience" Acrylic Painting Class - Starts Sept. 16th
If you have a little bit or a lot of experience with acrylic painting, this is a great weekly class for you. It is designed to match the experience level of any painter who wants to get better technically while finding inspiration in modern and contemporary art.
We will look at the techniques and styles of a wide range of artists, including dramatic value with Danielle McKinney, muted water and reflections with Peter Doig and Belynda Henry, movement and motion with Oscar Howe, bold palettes with Lubaina Himid, visual weight and Cezanne and more. And in doing this we will help you develop your own personal style.
Classes will feature both short, skill-building exercises and work on stretched canvas paintings that students can work on for one class or multiple classes.
When: Wednesday mornings, 10-12 (the teaching portion of the class is 10-12, but students are welcome to arrive at 9 and stay until 12:30 to continue their work.)
Dates: Sept. 16th, 23rd, 30th, October 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, Nov. 4th
Cost: $465 if you bring your own supplies. $525 if you use ours.
Level of experience: A little to a lot
Instructor: Sara Woster
