May 31st - Painting a Portrait 3 Ways - A Workshop for all Levels
In this acrylic painting workshop we will try 3 different approaches to painting a face. We will work on how you correctly map out the features, create skin tone and bring life to a portrait.
The three types of approaches will be:
Dark outline inspired by Gabriele Munter
Layers of transparent color inspired by Karen Kilimnik
Color blocking inspired by Henry Taylor
You can bring in an image of whatever portrait you would like to paint and we will paint 2 versions on canvas paper and one on stretched canvas.
We know that portraits can seem intimidating and this workshop is designed to make you realize they don’t have to be as difficult as you fear!
When: May 31st, 3:00 - 5:00

Cost: $55 includes all art materials and light refreshments
