This 8-week Monday night class will focus on art fundamentals like color, composition and line while working establishing a distinct artistic style and creating a series of artwork.

A few of the classes:

• Playing with line - inspired by Picasso and Egon Schiele

• Color - stealing palettes from our favorite painters

• Composition - Mosaic vs. minimal, Gladys Mgudlandlu &

• Form - Painting better objects

• Space- playing with negative space like the minimalists

• Value - Dramatic value layouts inspired by Goya

And more!

In each class with Sara Woster we will learn from the artwork of artists from art history and contemporary art who serve as great examples of the focus of the class.

Our classes are full of fun people who are serious about art so we have a great time while making great art.

Who should enroll: People who have a little familiarity with acrylic or water-soluble oil painting or people with a few years of experience or who have painted in the past. Email paintingisgoodforyou@gmail.com if you have more questions.
