This 8-week course with Kaitlyn Stubbs will explore all things portraiture!

Working from observation we will start with the basics of facial anatomy and drawing. Then we will create self portraits, portraits from photos, and oil paint from live models as they pose in the studio. All levels welcome!

When: Friday night 7-9pm (students will also have extra painting times during delegated open studio time on the weekends)

Kaitlyn Stubbs bio: Kaitlyn Stubbs is an artist and teacher who earned her BFA from the University of Georgia (2010) and her MFA from the New York Academy of Art (2012). She has exhibited her paintings locally and internationally. 

Kaitlyn ihas taught diverse audiences of all ages and abilities at places including MoMA, MoMA PS1, MFA Boston, Center for Architecture, Smithsonian Institute, SUNY Purchase and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
