This 5-week session will focus on color mixing as we find inspiration in the work of some groundbreaking artists from the past! This class is for people who have done some painting and are ready to better define their style and develop a strong creative practice.

Areas of focus:

• Adopting the rich color harmonies and distinct architecture of The Sienese School of Painting

• Emil Nolde landscapes - Vivid fields and colorful skies

• What color is your shadow? Exercises in finding the right color shadow in all kinds of weather and light

• Limited palette and line with David Milne - Sophisticated mixing of browns and muted greens, building out worlds with line and not form

• Bibi Zogbe - Pattern and Repetition, mixing beautiful oranges, greens and yellows
