This 5-week session will focus on creating more sophisticated palettes and painting the world in more engaging and unexpected ways. For painters who have a lot of technical experience who want to better define their style.

• Painting an Unexpected Sea...How to avoid painting the typical painting of an ocean by looking at Etal Adnan. Lubaina Himid, Fairfield Porter, Mary Fedden and all about mixing cool ocean colors.

• Inspired by Summer Wheat - Skewed worlds, strange perspectives and lots of vibrant colors & black

• Inspired by John Singer Sargent- Fabric, shadow and mixing grays, creams and reds

• Simplifying your figurative work - We will work with a live model as we experiment with simplifying the form

• World building with cast shadows
