August 24th - Painting Leaves, Flowers and Other Bits of Nature in Multiple Ways

$58.00

Leanne Shapton’s book “The Native Trees of Canada” is full of her paintings of trees and leaves done in countless ways with endless, different color combinations. She is not alone in this interest in painting multiples. Emil Nolde had his poppies and Emily Carr had her massive treetops.

In this workshop you will focus on your own bit of nature - from trees to leaves to seashells or clouds - and we paint do many different versions of it in order to force ourselves to become more creative and bold.

We will learn all about color harmonies, iconic palettes and different brushes and painting techniques.

This is a great workshop for first time painters and a great way for long-term painters to push themselves out of a painting rut.
